Who can apply from the UK

You must live in the UK to apply here. If you hold a UK short-stay visitor visa, Croatia will not accept your application in the UK.

VFS accepts your residence permit or a Home Office share code, valid at least one month after you return from the Schengen area.

Croatia must be the main part of your trip. Otherwise, apply to the embassy of your main destination.

Apply in person at the VFS centre nearest you. The honorary consulate in Edinburgh does not handle visas, and the embassy does not accept postal applications.

Where do I apply for a Croatia visa in the UK?

At VFS Global in London, Manchester or Edinburgh. The honorary consulate in Edinburgh does not handle visas.

How long does a Croatia visa take from the UK?

Do I need a notarised letter to visit family in Croatia?

Yes. Your host signs a letter of guarantee before a public notary in Croatia and adds proof of their income for the last three months.

Will my passport be stamped when I enter Croatia?

No. Since 10 April 2026 the EU's Entry/Exit System records your entries and exits digitally instead of stamping your passport. As a visa holder, the system stores a photo of your face taken at the border; your fingerprints are already on file from your visa application.

Can I visit other Schengen countries on a Croatia visa?

Yes. A Schengen visa covers all 29 Schengen countries for up to 90 days in any 180, as long as Croatia is your main destination.
