Who can apply from the UK
You can apply in the UK if you live here. GVCW asks for a copy of your UK eVisa and a share code, valid for at least 30 days after you leave the Schengen area.
UK visitor visas are not accepted. If you are only visiting the UK, apply in your country of residence.
Greece must be where you stay longest, or your first point of entry if your stays are equal.
Living in the UK does not remove the need for a visa. The Greek Embassy says nationals who need a Schengen visa still need one with a UK residence permit, and so do holders of UK refugee travel documents.

Worth knowing about this consulate
- Greece is strict about flights. It wants fully paid return tickets with a payment receipt, bought from an airline or a travel agency based in Europe. A free flight reservation will not do.

- GVCW's centres are at 66 Wilson Street, London EC2A 2BT; 50 Devonshire Street North, Manchester M12 6JH; and 1 Rennie's Isle, Leith, Edinburgh EH6 6QT (notice of 17 November 2025).

- GVCW shows the €90 visa fee as £79.20, payable in pounds at the rate on the day you apply, and adds a €30 service fee including VAT. Its fee table lists children under 12 as free.
- Appointments go quickly around Easter, from May to August and at Christmas. Book as soon as you know your dates.
- The embassy may ask for more documents or invite you to an interview, which can add time.
