Who can apply from the UK
You can apply in the UK if you live here. Bring your UK residence permit and a share code, with copies. The embassy's checklist asks for status valid at least 3 months after you return from the Schengen area.
Lithuania must be your main destination: where you will spend the longest time or carry out the main purpose of your trip. If there is no main destination, apply to the country whose external border you will cross first.
You can use any of the four VFS centres: London, Manchester, Edinburgh or Cardiff.
If you only visit the UK and live elsewhere, apply at the Lithuanian consulate in your country of residence.

Lithuania visa questions from UK residents
Can I apply for a Lithuania visa on a BRP?
BRPs have been replaced by eVisas. Lithuania asks for your UK residence permit and a share code, with copies, and the embassy's checklist asks for status valid at least 3 months after you return.
Where do I apply for a Lithuania visa in the UK?
At VFS Global in London, Manchester, Edinburgh or Cardiff. The Embassy of Lithuania in London decides.
How long does a Lithuania visa take from the UK?
Allow 15 calendar days after your appointment, and up to 45 if your file needs more checks. VFS's page still quotes older limits of 30 and 60 days.
How much is a Lithuania Schengen visa from the UK?
€90 for adults and €45 for children aged 6 to 11, paid in pounds at the rate on the day. Children under 6 pay nothing. VFS adds a service charge for applicants aged 12 and over.
How much money do I need for a Lithuania visa?
At least €40 (about £34) for each day of your stay, shown on your last 3 months of UK current account statements.
Do I need a paid flight ticket for a Lithuania visa?
Yes. VFS's checklist asks for confirmed and fully paid tickets to the UK or your final destination, not just a reservation.
Will my passport be stamped when I enter Lithuania?
No. Since 10 April 2026 the EU's Entry/Exit System records your entries and exits digitally instead of stamping your passport. As a visa holder, the system stores a photo of your face taken at the border; your fingerprints are already on file from your visa application.
Can I visit other Schengen countries on a Lithuania visa?
Yes. A Schengen visa covers all 29 Schengen countries for up to 90 days in any 180, as long as Lithuania is your main destination.
